Little Green Footballs sinking ever further

Wow!! Five months since my last posting! I have been busy, but there are other reasons for the long absence. The world has changed since I started this blog. Facebook and Twitter have taken over; blogging as we know it might become a thing of the past.

It's certainly taken a toll on Little Green Footballs. Already hemorrhaging readers since his wild swing from the fringe right to the fringe left, Charles Johnson's web site can't afford to lose many more readers. His once sky high viewership had already gone down dramatically the last time I posted his Alexa stats. It's falling into the gutter now:

His readership, which had one averaged around .01% of all Internet viewership, had plunged to half that, about .005% after his "change". Now it's plunged to even less than half of that, to about .002% a day. Wow. There are plenty of other stats on his ranking page. Notice the graph with lot of red arrows going down, down, down. Now he gets about 1800 unique visitors a day, which would still be very respectable for casual blogs (like this one). But Mr. Johnson's site is anything but "casual". It's his only livelihood. It was also once one of the top blogs in the world. Now it's basically irrelevant.

What used to be the premier blog about worldwide terrorism, has now become an incredibly nitpicky political site aimed entirely at criticizing Republicans. What do you see there right now? Page after page about Herman Cain's sexual harassment accusations!! Words fail me.
