A Guillotine on display at Obama rally

Remember this picture the next time someone warns you about the rather nebulous threats heard at McCain rallies.
I'm all for getting into the spirit of Halloween, but when you start encouraging and celebrating a specific person's death, this is just a bit too much, non? The 18th century France connotations not lost on me either - like how much some of these people would mirror Robespierre's reign of terror, if they ever had their way.

In case you missed it, a couple of white men in Tennessee were arrested Tuesday for plotting to murder black high school students, with the ultimate objective of assassinating Obama himself.
Nope, didn't miss it. It was all over the news (the above photo was not carried anywhere in the mainstream media, however).
It concerned two lipstick-wearing neo-nazis who planned to rob a gun store, use those guns to kill 88 black people, and then Obama, while wearing white tuxedos and top hats. They were arrested because they starting boasting about the crime. Sounds more like a joke or an attempt at publicity to me - but I am glad they were apprehended.
