"Sadistic Killer Lesbians Shared Blood Lust"
Wow! How can you miss a news report with a title like that? As soon as I saw that, I had to read the story and track down pictures of those involved (more below the jump). This is classic B-movie territory.
On a more serious note, it is a tragic story of the murder of a 16 year-old in Australia (Stacey Mitchell) by two "friends" (Valerie Parashumti, and Jessica Stasinowsky), who had absolutely no sense of right and wrong whatsoever. The motive for the killing is still not clear, but it is clear that the pair thought the whole thing was a big joke. During their year in jail awaiting trial, they showed no remorse whatsoever:
Justice Blaxell said the enormity of the pair’s evil was evident in the sexual pleasure and joy they showed after the murder. After the killing, they made a cell phone video mocking the dead girl. Just weeks after the killing, one of them told a prison official that she wished Stacey had taken longer to die.
“It is also very troubling that you do not show any remorse or shame for what you did, instead, appear to be amused and jubilant,” Justice Blaxell told the girls.
...
The killers’ courtroom antics, which included giggling at the mispronunciation of their names, outraged court officials and the community.
They were sentenced to 24 years in prison each. They get credit for time served, and so will be 42 and 43 years old when released. Still young enough to be quite dangerous, if they haven't learned anything in the meantime. In Australia, this is called a "life" sentence.

Hopefully Stacey's family will ensure they never get parole
