"Afghans protest over Danish cartoon"

Holy cow, haven't we been down this road a few too many times? Don't Afghans have more pressing matters to worry about?

Compare and contrast: Meanwhile, Iraqis in Basra are protesting over actual issues, namely the rampant crime in the city, specifically a dramatic rise in kidnappings, murders and thefts that have occurred after British troops withdrew back in December. Those who claim that it's Americans/coalition forces who are causing all the violence in Iraq might want to take a look at Basra today. This is against the trend of violence in Iraq overall, which has largely abated since the American surge.

Just to show you the conflicting nature of Iraq reporting and why you can't always believe what you read in the mainstream media, back in November, the International Herald Tribune reported that violence was a mere one-tenth of what it was before the British redeployment, and this week, The Daily Telegraph reported that violence in Basra was down, but UK soldiers faced a renewed threat outside the cities!
