More UK craziness

The fun in the Isles never stops!

Crime does pay, after all: Even though bigamy is illegal in the UK, Muslim men are collecting benefits for their 2nd, 3rd, and sometimes 4th wives, at the rate of £33.65 a week each. Exactly how does this happen?
While a married man cannot obtain a spouse visa to bring a second wife into Britain, some multiple partners may be able to enter the country via other legal routes such as tourist visas, student visas or work permits.
Question - why would anyone on a tourist, student, or work visa, require public assistance in the first place?

Married to the mob: Under the easily-abused visa system in the UK, a 15 year-old girl in Pakistan was married off to a 40 year-old man in the UK over the telephone. Problem is, he was actually severely mentally disabled, and when the "bride" arrived in the UK, her new in-laws promptly forced her into prostitution. This part was also disturbing:
The girl's marriage last April was not recognised by the Home Office but was approved by the Islamic Sharia Council in Britain.
So what was the basis for her visa? Is the Islamic Sharia Council (a private special interest group) issuing visas now?

No right to bare arms: Meanwhile, Muslim medical assistants are breaking rules by refusing to roll up their sleeves when washing up in hospitals. They want to prevent the "sin" of showing off those lustful arms below the elbow. Here's a thought - maybe people whose views on physical modesty are rather extreme, should choose a profession other than medicine!

Idiocy: Finally, in an unrelated(?) item, one-quarter of Britons think that Winston Churchill was a myth!

In response to Idiocy :
Chalk one up for the public education system, however it isn't any better here in the US. Most native-born citizens couldn't even pass the citizenship exam.

Yeah, its a laugh a minute over here. Its not just they don't think Churchill really existed, most people are sure Sherlock Holmes really did.

No shit...
